Meet the new Nokia Lumia 1020, a Windows Phone with a superlative 41 megapixel camera:

Nokia Lumia 1020

Nokia Lumia 1020 - B                                             Nokia has unveiled its latest Nokia Lumia smartphone —Nokia Lumia 1020 — that is equipped with a ‘smarter camera’ that tops many point-and-shoot imaging devices and claims to revolutionise your photography experience.

Nokia Lumia 1020 phone has a 41-megapixel sensor and image-stabilizing technology which is otherwise not common in smartphones.
Nokia’s marketing executive Chris Weber has asserted at the launch that this new phone will make point-and-shoot cameras obsolete.
The phone runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system. This could be a deal breaker considering that the operating system does not have popular photo sharing and video sharing apps like Vine and Instagram.
The Lumia 1020 will be available in the US on July 26 from around $299 and will be made available in China and Europe by September.
Nokia reigned as the leading phone maker for 14 years, until early last year when Samsung took the top spot. Among smartphones, the lucrative business for phone makers, Nokia doesn't even rank in research firm IDC's top 5.
The Lumia 1020 can be set as high as ISO 3200, which is higher than the typical camera phone.
The phone records two versions of each image one in full resolution which can be zoomed or cropped or download to a computer to make large prints and other version equivalent to 5 megapixels which can be shared on Facebook or Instagram.
The US version syncs with Microsoft's SkyDrive and AT&T's Locker storage services.
Nokia is also selling a Camera Grip attachment for 79 dollars, offering extended battery life and a case that makes one feel as if holding a regular point-and-shoot camera, and it can be used to attach the phone to a tripod as well, the report added.

It is yet not known whether the phone will be released in India or not. However, with a superlative camera and the newly less adapted Windows Phone operating system, it will be interesting to see the buzz this phone will receive in the country.
The phone could possibly break the Indian Android habit and finally get them to warm up to an alternate operating system.
